Interview with Elena Gubanova
Tell us about the project “Women's Donation”. How did this idea come up, why was it chosen?
The messages we received in our Instagram account @donorstav are mostly from women. They are about general and typically women’s issues. Thanks to our female donors, the heading under the hashtag #донорстав_женскийвопрос (women’s issues) was launched into the account. And then the booklet “Women’s Donation” appeared, with the answers to all “women” questions related to blood donation.
How was the project implemented? Were there difficulties, how did you manage them?
We decided to participate in a professional skill contest and started with implementing ideas on a video and a poster. And the leader said: “Let's create a booklet.” I sat down at Corel Draw and drew the layout in 1-2 days. What are your future plans for the project?
We will prepare it in an electronic form, maybe as an application. Or perhaps the developers of the Blood Service application use our idea.
And our traditional question: what would you wish to donors and people, who are going to join donor program?
To all donors, we wish to be healthy and responsible always and in everything. After all, how can a donor be half responsible or only on weekdays? Blood donation is not a one-time event. This is a special mission that not everyone can do.
Most people know very little about donation and therefore trust the most unreasonable myths...
