An autumn Youth Donor Day was held in St. Petersburg

The event lasted five days and was dedicated to the International Students' Day, which is celebrated on November 17th. More than 900 participants donated 410 liters of blood, which could save the lives of 2,733 people.

The large-scale event was organized by the Donor Fund together with the DonorGo Game Universe project with the support of the Committee for Youth Policy and Interaction with Public Organizations, as well as the Presidential Grants Fund. A traditional donor quest was held on social networks, as well as an online lecture on the medical aspects of blood donation. It is available in a post in the DonorGo community on VKontakte. In all departments where the event took place, volunteers helped donors and doctors.

«Donor Youth Days are held in our city twice a year – in spring and autumn. Every time we see how many kind, sympathetic and responsible young people we have. They are ready to help anyone who needs it. The blood they donate will help save the lives of Petersburgers», - Governor Alexander Beglov said.

Members of the youth parliament of St. Petersburg, employees of the Committee for Youth Policy and Interaction with Public Organizations and the Committee for Social Policy also contributed to the city's donor treasury.
