Samara Aerospace University launched an interactive game "Trip of a drop of blood", dedicated to the World Blood Donor Day

World Blood Donor Day (WBDD) is held on June 14 each year. In this regard, the Club of Blood Donation Volunteers of the Samara Aerospace University congratulates the participants in the donor movement of the educational institution and invites you to take part in the interactive online game "The Journey of a Drop of Blood".

The game takes place on the club's official page on the VKontakte social network from 13 to 15 June 2022. Within three days, the thematic tasks of the interactive online game will be published, for the correct completion of which prizes from the organizers of the event are provided.

The prize fund of the action includes donor notebooks, sticker packs and pens with symbols dedicated to a healthy lifestyle. Students of Samara University involved in the development and promotion of blood donation and a healthy lifestyle can become participants in the game.

“Last year, the club already organized an interactive station game dedicated to the celebration of the World Blood Donor Day, and also helped the Samara Regional Clinical Blood Transfusion Station to hold a festive event on this day. This year, the club’s activists decided to continue the tradition of celebrating the Day of the Donor, which was founded in 2021,” the organizers of the action noted.

The development of the youth donor movement at Samara University is carried out by the Club of Volunteers for Blood Donation on the basis of the Health Center for the Students of the Samara Aerospace University.

During the first half of 2022, the Blood Donation Volunteer Club organized a number of events promoting blood donation and healthy lifestyles, including an online quiz about the Blood Donor Volunteer Club, predicted for the celebration of Student's Day; donor landing "Defender of the Fatherland"; photo project “I am a participant in the donor movement of the university”; photo exhibition dedicated to the celebration of the All-Russian Blood Donor Day and others.

On March 9, as part of the Teacher and Mentor Year, the Blood Center of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency of Russia held a lecture for students of the medical classes in School № 2006. Senior students learned who can become a donor, what are the indications for transfusion of blood components, how to prepare for donation and a number of other aspects in the field of transfusiology.
