+100 to karma: IT specialists from all over Russia will take part in «IT donor» campaign

From the 5th to 9th of June, the sixth Donor Week will be held. Twice a year, IT specialists from all over the country donate blood. This helps replenish blood banks and save lives.

The IT donor has 2,500 participants, half of which, 1,300 people, are regularly donors. Over the three years of its existence, the project has been supported by hundreds of companies: Sberbank, Russian Railways, Gazprombank, «Netologiya», Tenzor, «Knopka» and representatives of many other IT companies.

And it’s also an occasion to get out together with colleagues, even if they are not from IT, share positive emotions, feel the friend’s shoulder and belonging to a cool cause. «In 2022, we already took part in the IT Donor event and received a positive response among the IT community of employees of Russian Railways OJSC. This year we plan to take an active part and contribute to a good cause,» - Elena Zhidkova, Head, Central Healthcare Directorate, Russian Railways.

The Ministries of Digital Development and Technologies of many regions showed interest to the project. They provided informational support, and donated blood as part of the IT donor week: for example, Igor Fetisov the Minister of Digital Development of the Chelyabinsk Region and Andrey Ulyanov the Minister of Digital Development of the Ryazan Region.

The next week of the IT donor will take place from the 5th to 9th of June 2023. To participate, you need to register on the project website, come in the time of the campaign to blood station in your city and donate blood.

Registered participants will be reminded by a special chatbot about the donation, and the organizers will encourage them to participate with the corporate badge of an IT donor.

About project

IT-donor is a social project of Artsofte company. Its goal is to create a donor community of IT industry workers who are ready to donate blood.

In April 2023, IT Donor took first place in the Social Initiatives category of the CX World Awards, the largest and most well-known award in the customer experience industry. In 2021, it took third place in the «Volunteers in Donation» nomination of the All-Russian Complicity Award.

Ivanovo Welcomes Grand Opening of State-of-the-Art Rosplasma Center with FMBA Deputy Head Mikhail Ratmanov in Attendance

On May 27, Ivanovo welcomed the opening of a new modular plasma center under Russia’s Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA), marking a key milestone in the implementation of the Concept for Increasing Plasma Blood Collection for Pharmaceutical Production. Developed by the FMBA under the directive of the President and the Russian Government, the strategy was approved on February 9, 2023, by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The new facility will have an annual capacity of over 30 tons of blood plasma.

Russia’s Biggest Companies Join Forces with FMBA to Celebrate National Donor Day

Leading up to national donor day on april 20, a nationwide awareness campaign took place across Russia. In the week starting April 14, 2025, blood donation centers across Russia hosted a series of events to raise awareness about blood, blood component, and bone marrow donation. These events offered the public a chance to attend lectures, take part in tours, join workshops and open discussions with medical professionals, connect with experienced donors, and, most importantly, make their own donations. Participants learned more about the donation process and heard real stories from people whose lives were saved thanks to donors.
