Blood Center of FMBA of Russia has developed a unique loyalty program for donors
Press conference on presentation and launch of a large-scale social project – National loyalty program of the Blood Service took place on June 15.
The award was established in 2010 by the National Health Development Fund and by the Coordination Centre of the organization, development and promotion of voluntary blood donation at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. The organizing Committee traditionally consists of representatives of the Federation Council, State Duma, Ministry of health of the Russian Federation, Federal medical-biological Agency and public figures. In 2010–2016 there were accepted over 700 applications from more than 70 regions of Russia.
The head of the Federal medical-biological agency (FMBA) Vladimir Uiba opened the press conference with congratulations to medical providers and representatives of donor movement with the World Blood Donor Day, which had taken place the day before. Then Vladimir Viktorovich has announced the launch of a new social, technological and unique project – the loyalty program for donors of blood and its components, implemented by the Blood Service throughout the country, and told about the purpose and main objectives of the project. The mechanism for the implementation of a loyalty program consists of provision of donors of blood and its components with privileges in the form of discounts on goods and services by the Program partners. "The organizing committee of the Blood Service invites for cooperation not only network companies, but representatives of small and medium businesses as well," said Vladimir Viktorovich.
"Blood donation institute has been transformed and modified to a common standard: re-equipment of more than 400 offices in 86 regions, implementation of a common information system and development of a unified educational program for Blood Service staff members. Safe, stable and voluntary blood donation is a result of the multidisciplinary work, which fully satisfies the clinical need of blood in the country. Blood Service moves beyond and launches the new all-Russian social project, loyalty program , which actively engages the business community. Loyalty program is designed to thank all the donors of blood and its components. We create an institute of privileges for donors – it is right and logical that these people should be socially encouraged. Loyalty program is not only a new element in the Blood Service communication development program, but also a social tool that integrates the activity of the business community, nonprofit organizations and government agencies in order to support the institution of blood donation in Russia, stressed the head of FMBA of Russia Vladimir Uiba."
Sophia A. Golosova, the head doctor of the Blood Center of FMBA of Russia, told more about the infrastructure of the Program, including mechanics of entry into the Program for both – donors and commercial organizations – potential partners of the Program.
"Loyalty program is based on three main elements: first – unified information database system, which in real time receives and processes a huge amount of personal information of our donors, second – the official site of the Program (donorsapiens.yadonor.ru) that will host a list of offers from companies, operating in many different areas of consumer services. Finally, the third and the main component – Blood Service app, which will be developed for iOS and Android platforms. The application will contain all necessary information about previous donations of the donor, offers of companies-partners of the project that will become available after a successful donation."
The 16-digit code, familiar to the donor community, assigned to a volunteer after the procedure, should be entered in the personal account of the donor or in the mobile app to get access to offers of partners. Access to discounts or other privileges is available for two months after donation, according to medical recommendations about the frequency of blood donation," explained Sofia Aleksandrovna.
Blood Service mobile app prototype (launches in summer2017) was also presented at the press conference. With this app, apart from the calendar of donations, donors will be able to learn about the results of the medical examination, to have online-consultation from experts of Blood Service.
Another speaker of the press conference, one of the first partners of the Program – Alexey Budnik, President of "UTair – Passenger airlines", also gave a speech.
"He talked about his experience of cooperation with Blood Service in the framework of All-Russian music contest "Muzarteria-2015", and about corporate social responsibility that serves as the foundation for further mutually beneficial and productive cooperation with FMBA of Russia within the Program that inspires a socially-active business community. "Within the framework of the Program we are ready to provide substantial support to the Blood Service and offer great rates on air transportation for donors of blood and its components for all 65 destinations on our route network. Digital products are in the forefront today, we are moving in the same direction, and I guess this is not the last stage in the development of our cooperation, we have a great future with the Blood Service, commented Alexey."
About the Blood Service loyalty program:
All-Russian loyalty program is one the ways to express gratitude to all the donors of blood and its components. Loyalty program is aimed at maintaining the principle of regular voluntary donation of blood and its components by means of formation of conditions for the support of donors of various categories (first-time, regular, honorary) and granting them privileges in the format of discounts or special offers from partners of the Program. Discounts and offers will be posted on the website of the Program and in the app.

Since 2008, the Ministry of health of the Russian Federation, FMBA and the FMBA Blood Center of Russia, have been implementing a large-scale Program of development of Blood Service that covers all constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
Blood Service development program consists of several areas: technical re-equipment of Blood Service offices, the establishment of a unified information database for procurement, processing, storage and safety of blood and its components, as well as a set of activities aimed at the development of regular donation of blood and its components.
