Every six months Russian representatives of the sphere of Internet technologies initiate their own Donor Week, helping people to understand how the donation process works.

The project started in the fall of 2020 in the Urals, then in a week IT specialists collected 46 liters of blood for hospitals in Yekaterinburg. Six months later, the project reached the federal level, last spring it was supported by IT specialists from 71 cities. The third week of "IT-donor" will be held from November 29 to December 3. Anyone can participate in it.

“Try to count how many blood donors you know? Most likely not very much. I believe that the IT community can contribute and change attitudes towards donation by becoming an example for other industries. We have already reached the federal level and received a response from all over Russia. People want to do good deeds, they just need help, "says Oksana Dunina, the founder of the IT-donor project.

“Donor Day is a great opportunity to spiritually unite the company's team. Nothing brings people together in a work team like a good deed, ”the head physician of the Sverdlovsk Regional Blood Transfusion Station supports the event, said Alexander Orlov.
