Veronika Skvortsova and Tatyana Dyakonova Launch Educational Expedition to Promote Donorship Among Youth
The head of the Agency noted that members of the Elbrus Club are talented young managers who work in a wide variety of fields and industries across the Russian economy. Donation, she stressed, is not simply a medical task, but a vital national strategic priority. In order for all medical organizations in the country, regardless of ownership or departmental affiliation, to be fully supplied with whole blood and its components, Russia must always maintain strategic reserves. Therefore, attracting young people to donation is an essential task.
«The proposal from the Elbrus Club to partner within the framework of Educational Expeditions is extremely important for us. We analyzed your experience in other areas and see that it will allow us to jointly develop the right action plan to engage young people in the donor movement. And most importantly — to make donation as comfortable as possible, so that every step along the way is convenient and motivates the next one. The very fact that you are interested in this issue demonstrates the highest level of civic responsibility. We want to thank Sergey Vladilenovich Kiriyenko, Tatyana Ivanovna Dyakonova, all the mentors and leaders of the club for setting development in such a meaningful direction. Your contribution to this project is an impact to human lives, to strengthening the cultural code of our country, and to shaping donation as a natural part of the culture of caring for others,” emphasized Veronika Skvortsova.
As part of the Educational Expeditions project, the Federal Medical-Biological Agency and the Russian Leaders Club Elbrus are implementing a joint initiative to promote donorship. The main goal is to develop a program to attract young people aged 18–35 to the donor movement.
«Today our Educational Expedition started at the Federal Medical-Biological Agency of Russia, headed by Veronika Igorevna Skvortsova — a dear friend of the Elbrus Club and a person whose creative contribution to the development of our country cannot be overstated. We approach this task with special attention and responsibility, and we deeply value our cooperation. The Leaders-Donors project has already received support from FMBA of Russia, and now we will continue to develop this theme within the framework of the expedition. Importantly, thanks to participatory design, we will be working on this task together with the people who will be affected by the solutions developed. We sincerely thank you for your trust and will do everything to justify it,” said the project’s author, Chair of the Elbrus Club and State Duma deputy Tatyana Dyakonova in her welcome remarks.
The project’s working group includes leading specialists of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency and leaders of the Elbrus Club. The expedition will be organized at FMBA’s leading institution in the field of transfusion medicine — the FMBA Blood Center.
