"Donor Fund" within the framework of the DonorGO game project has released a board game "Healers"

The board game is dedicated to donation, the power of blood and friendship. It is designed for 1 to 4 players over 14 years old. One round lasts about two hours. "Healers" is a cooperative adventure, the victory depends on the skills of each and general indicators, but there is also a personal credit to compete with friends for the most successful Healer today.

The game takes place in the fantasy world of Have from the DonorGO game universe. Have is a sunny idyll with a variety of charming creatures living in kindness and harmony. They work, create, have fun, make friends. Sometimes they get sick, and Healers always come to help with the power of knowledge and skills. One day there was a powerful explosion in the thicket of the Great Forest, the cause of which is unknown, therefore it’s called the Unknown Disaster. The life of the inhabitants of Have was divided into before the Unknown Disaster and after, as the blast wave brought with it not only serious destruction but also terrible diseases - unknown ailments - which neither the inhabitants nor the Healers had ever seen. To defeat these ailments, the Have Healers need to collect all their skills and unite forces.

“We made the basis of the game from a fictional world by purpose, it helps us gradually immerse teenagers in the topic. Blood, bone marrow and donation are essential elements in certain situations in this fantasy world, just like in our real world. During the game, the guys subconsciously understand the importance of donation for treatment, which is a very important point for us, as for popularizers, "- Marina Frantseva comments, co-founder of the Donors Fund and one of the game's creators.

Players act as one of the Have healers: Madarch, Brogy, Pestarts or Kirawi. Together they travel around the Great Forest - treating ailments and fighting the consequences of the Unknown Disaster. Even in a team, the path of a healer is difficult and dangerous. You have to expose yourself to the danger of contracting a domestic ailment or not coping with an unknown ailment. However, healers have not only courage and kindness in their arsenal, but also ancient knowledge, unique skills and irreplaceable tools: Donation, Blood powers, Bone marrow and Panacea crystals. If you use them wisely, you will win the game.

The first to try out the game were volunteers of the Donors Fund - students of St. Petersburg universities.

You can play "Healers" in the "City Donor Headquarters" (St. Petersburg, Marata Street, 31) or hire for your event at a university, college or youth space.

DonorGO is a donor activity gamification project created with the support of the Committee for Youth Policy and Interaction with Public Organizations of the St. Petersburg Administration within the framework of the Donors Fund for the integration of young people aged 16 and over into the donor environment. The creators of the project have developed a whole system of gaming practices for different ages and interests. These practices in an entertaining way will help young people immerse themselves in the topic of donation: floor and board games, augmented reality elements, interactive quizzes and quests. The main product is a special donor book "Donor's Guide", based on a system of achievements and rewards.
