The final of the contest "My Donor Breakfast" was hosted by the Penza Blood Center
The final of the My Donor Breakfast competition, organized jointly with the Penza College of Food Industry and Commerce, took place. The students presented dishes that, according to the set of products allowed before donation, are ideal for everyone who voluntarily donates their blood, to save human lives.
All donors waiting in line for the procedure could taste carrot cakes with honey, baked apples, oatmeal with dried fruits, pumpkin marmalade, vegetable salads, fruit smoothies and much more, as well as vote for their favorite dishes. The jury included representatives of the Blood Service, the college and volunteers.
“Donating blood is a serious procedure, and in order to make it comfortable and safe, it is necessary to follow certain rules in cooking. Having studied all the details, we have prepared dishes that will allow us to saturate the donor's body before donation” - Sergey Portnov, a 2nd year student of the Penza College of Food Industry and Commerce.
The press service of the Ministry of Health of the Penza Region reports, that according to the results of the tasting, compliance with the cooking technology and the right set of products, Sergey Portnov became the winner of the competition. All participants were presented with memorable gifts with the symbols of the Blood Center.
