Mintsifry of Novosibirsk region took part in the all-Russian social project «IT-donor»

From June 5 to 9, Russia hosted the Donor Week. The project started in 2020. More than 140 cities, including Novosibirsk, have already joined it.

The donor event was held on June 9 at the Novosibirsk Blood Clinical Center. The organizer was the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media.

Participation in the project is already becoming a good tradition of the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Novosibirsk region. The campaign was also supported by our subordinate organizations, IT companies, colleges that train IT specialists. I am a donor myself, I donated blood 15 times, I aspire to the title of «Honorary Donor» and I am glad that our initiative to do good work is so actively supported by the Novosibirsk IT community», Sergey Tsukari said, Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Novosibirsk region.

In addition to the employees of the Ministry, the ranks of donors were joined by specialists of the Information Protection Center, the Center for Digital Transformation, the Information Technology Center of the region, the Novosibirsk Electronics and Computer Engineering College, Novosibirsk Information and Computing Center, the companies «SoftMall», «Megafon», «Yusergeit», «Information systems and services» and others. The action was attended by about 50 people, thanks to which the regional blood bank was replenished by 20 liters.

The Novosibirsk Blood Clinical Centre transmits about 100 litres of various components daily to health institutions in the region. According to Natalia Prosvirina, Deputy Chief Physician at the Novosibirsk Blood Clinic, such actions help to maintain the necessary blood supply and contribute to the development of corporate donation.

Novosibirsk region is famous for its corporate donorship. We are always pleased when new partners, such as the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications, join us with a large number of donors. The selection of donors is very careful. The most important task is regular donation. Repeat donors are considered the safest in terms of infection, and our main function is to provide medical organizations with quality and safe blood components», Natalia Prosvirina said.

On May 27, Ivanovo welcomed the opening of a new modular plasma center under Russia’s Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA), marking a key milestone in the implementation of the Concept for Increasing Plasma Blood Collection for Pharmaceutical Production. Developed by the FMBA under the directive of the President and the Russian Government, the strategy was approved on February 9, 2023, by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The new facility will have an annual capacity of over 30 tons of blood plasma.

Russia’s Biggest Companies Join Forces with FMBA to Celebrate National Donor Day

Leading up to national donor day on april 20, a nationwide awareness campaign took place across Russia. In the week starting April 14, 2025, blood donation centers across Russia hosted a series of events to raise awareness about blood, blood component, and bone marrow donation. These events offered the public a chance to attend lectures, take part in tours, join workshops and open discussions with medical professionals, connect with experienced donors, and, most importantly, make their own donations. Participants learned more about the donation process and heard real stories from people whose lives were saved thanks to donors.
