#Let’sJoin!: more than 160 people have joined the Federal Register of Bone Marrow Donors

On October 5, the #Let’sJoin Marathon! in support of the donor movement was held at three venues - in three cities. Donor events were held in the branch of the Blood Center of FMBA of Russia in Yaroslavl, on the territory of the special economic zone «Dubna», as well as in one of the offices of «Yandex» in Moscow. 166 people joined the Federal Register of Bone Marrow Donors that day.

The branch of the Blood Center of the FMBA of Russia in the city of Yaroslavl was visited by employees of the Rosgvardia and the Federal Bailiff Service, headed by the Colonel of the Internal Service Anton Pryahin. Participants of the event donated 3 milliliters of blood to the Federal Register of Bone Marrow Donors and plasma.

The Blood Center of the FMBA of Russia both in Moscow and Yaroslavl, fully sustain such interdepartmental cooperation. New projects in support of the donor movement of the Russian Federation are born due to it», - says Olga Makedonskaya, acting director of the Blood Center of the Federal Migration Service of Russia.

On October 5, the congress-center of the special economic zone «Dubna» also held an event on entering the Federal Register of Bone Marrow Donors. Almost 100 employees of the health unit № 9 FMBA of Russia became potential donors of bone marrow, showing a desire to help.

«Many employees of health unit № 9 FMBA of Russia have long wanted to become potential bone marrow donors. As soon as they knew about Donor Day, more than 100 people applied for participation. We note the increased interest to the event», - said Igor Kalinin, Deputy Head of the MU №9 FMBA of Russia for information and analytical work.
