Saint-Petersburg Youth Donor Day

On November 15, the annual action «City Youth Day of Saint Petersburg Donor» started in Saint Petersburg.

The main city-wide Donor Day for Youth has been held in Saint Petersburg since 2013. Twice a year hundreds of students and young employees of Petersburg organizations become part of the donor movement. Over 10,000 people attended the event.

«On November 15, participants of the action were received at the Russian Research Institute of Hematology and Transfusiology of FMBA Russia. Blood donation and registration of bone marrow and hematopoietic stem cells in the Federal Register of Donors was supported by the National Health Fund. All donors were presented souvenirs and gifts from the Presidential Grants Fund, played in a win-win lottery», - noted the research institute.

November 17, events within the action «City Youth Donor Day» will be held in the administrative and business quarter «Nevskaya City Hall». Young officials, representatives of the Youth Personnel Reserve and employees of the committees and offices of the Government of Saint Petersburg will become participants. Donors will be received by the mobile laboratory of the City Blood Transfusion Station. The event is supported by the Interregional public charity organization «National Center of Social Assistance» and the Committee on Youth Policy and Interaction with Public Organizations.
