At the World Youth Festival, participants discussed the development of the country’s donor movement

On March 5th there was a panel discussion «Promotion and development of donorship among the youth of Russia» at the site of the technological space of the International Technology Hub of the federal territory «Sirius» in the framework of the World Festival of Youth. The event was organized by the Federal Medical-Biological Agency.

As part of the panel discussion, the speakers were the head of the Department of Medical Support of Extreme Works and Blood Service of the FMBA of Russia Olga Eichler, twice winner of the competition «Leaders of Russia», ambassador of the project «Leaders of Donors» Ivan Yefremov, Deputy Director of the Project Activities Department of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Head of the Department of Medical Prophylaxis and Healthy Lifestyle of the Central Directorate of Public Health - Branch of the Joint Stock Company «Russian Railways» Olga Yenikeyeva, as well as honorary donor of Russia Alexander Mironov.

During the speech Olga Eichler introduced the guests of the Festival to the work of the FMBA of Russia in the development of the country’s Blood Service, as well as the Federal Register of Bone Marrow Donors.

Ivan Efremov shared his personal experience in the formation of the donor movement and how to make donation part of youth culture.

Olga Yenikeyeva presented the activity of the open joint-stock company «Russian Railways» on building the internal corporate culture in the sphere of donation, and also shared the experience of organization of donor events in the company.

The bright conclusion of the discussion platform was the performance of the young honorary donor of Russia Alexander Mironov, who made more than 110 donations. He shared his personal history of donating, and also told about motivation to continue donor career after receiving the title of Honorary Donor. Alexander dispelled from the guests of the meeting the basic myths existing around the topic of donation, and answered questions from the audience.

Veronika Skvortsova and Tatyana Dyakonova Launch Educational Expedition to Promote Donorship Among Youth

On August 20, Head of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) Veronika Skvortsova and Chair of the Elbrus Russian Leaders Club Tatyana Dyakonova launched an educational expedition aimed at creating modern, effective approaches to encouraging blood and bone marrow donation among young people. The two leaders wished the teams success in shaping youth-centered strategies for building a strong donor culture.

FMBA of Russia Promotes Donorship Through Series of Events at the “Territory of Meanings” Forum

The Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) organized a series of initiatives to promote blood and bone marrow donation among young people during the 11th All-Russian Youth Educational Forum Territory of Meanings. The program featured lectures, open discussions, and donation drives that received strong positive feedback from participants.
