The FMBA Blood Center of Russia held a Donor Day at the All-Russian Youth Forum «Territory of Meanings»

August 16, a donation action of the FMBA Blood Center of Russia was held at the open site of the Senezh Management Lab. Everyone could participate in by giving blood and also join the Federal Registry of Bone Marrow Donors.

The day before, the panel discussion «Donation: the future in the hands of young people» was held within the framework of the forum. The meeting was organized by the movement «Leaders-donors». The experts were the founder of the «Leaders-donors» movement Alexei Kubrak, the adviser to the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region Dmitry Afanasiev, the expert on medical and social expertise FMBA Russia Svetlana Aminova, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Government of the Moscow region Alexey Majov, winner of the track «Health» of the competition «Leaders of Russia» Alexander Rodionov and representative of the Blood Center FMBA Russia Kirill Kovalchuk. During the discussion, they presented different views on development of donation in youth.

The main task of the anniversary forum is to generate solutions from youth for the state in areas such as state and municipal management, social and youth policy, investment and international cooperation.

The educational program of the event consists of several thematic events: «Family», «Creation», «Service», «Unity». Each shift is dedicated to the development of various specific solutions, demanded by its target audience, collectively forming a wide range of youth proposals for development and support of the achievement of goals in key areas of state development.

It is symbolic that the mobile blood harvesting complex of the Blood Center of FMBA Russia deployed its work on the forum territory during the thematic event «Service».

This is the minimum contribution we can make here and now for the benefit of people and society. Maybe our blood will be useful to someone in an emergency, save someone’s life. I can’t say that it is everyone’s duty, but it is a good thing. And if a person has the resources to become a donor, he should do so», - explained one of the participants of the forum Ksenia Marasanova.

The event was held with the aim of popularizing donation, as well as involving participants of training programs and managerial staff of the corporate sector and public service in the donor movement.

Volunteers, representatives of various youth movements, state civil and municipal employees, security agencies, as well as other interested participants of the forum from the very morning lined up near the mobile complex. In total, 70 people participated in the donation campaign, and 18 entered the Federal Registry of Bone Marrow Donation.
