A ceremonial awards event for the winners of the All-Russian Professional Skills Contest-2024 was held at the Moscow International House of Music, marking the grand finale of the All-Russian Blood Service Forum.

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova addressed the participants of the ceremony:

"Today, we honor the winners, regions, and medical organizations, as well as the specialists who have made significant contributions to the development of the blood donation service, its components, and bone marrow donation. Specialists working at the FMBA of Russia do everything possible to ensure the safety of the procedure and the quality of the collected material. It is crucial that the Blood Service continues to develop, as it gives us the ability to save human lives. None of this would be possible without our responsible citizens or the Federal Medical-Biological Agency professionals, who dedicate all their expertise and commitment to this immensely important cause."

The Deputy Prime Minister presented awards in the categories "Leader Region in Blood Donation" and "Leader Region in Bone Marrow Donation." Veronika Skvortsova, Head of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency, awarded the top representatives of the medical community, highlighting their exceptional professionalism and dedication to their work.

"Together, we ensure the highest quality at every stage, guaranteeing the complete safety of blood component donation procedures. Of course, every professional excelling in their field serves as a mentor. It is vital to understand how to pass on the flame burning in your hearts – the flame of service – and how to multiply it to inspire the young professionals entering this field. We have a lot to accomplish, and it requires courage and responsibility," said Veronika Skvortsova.

The FMBA leader presented awards in categories such as "Best Nurse," "Specialist in Donor Promotion," "Best Physician in Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics," and "Best Transfusiologist." These awards recognized individuals who dedicate their labor and expertise daily to saving lives.

Special attention was given to the "For Courage" category, which honored those working in combat conditions to ensure the uninterrupted collection of blood components in the special military operation zones of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Zaporizhzhia region.

The ceremony was also attended by Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection Badma Bashankayev, First Deputy Chairwoman of the Federation Council Committee on Federal Structure, Regional Policy, Local Self-Governance, and Northern Affairs Galina Karelova, and Director of the Russian Scientific Center of Surgery named after Academician B.V. Petrovsky, Konstantin Kotenko.

The All-Russian Professional Skills Contest once again highlighted the significance of developing the donor movement in Russia and the high level of professionalism of medical workers, who fight daily for the health and lives of people.
