The #DavaiVstupai Donor Marathon Nominated for the Knowledge Prize 2024

The shortlist for the Knowledge Prize has been published, featuring 107 applications, including 43 projects, 6 companies, and 58 educators – lecturers, teachers, bloggers, public figures, scientists, and other outstanding individuals.

On November 27, the Honorary Jury of the Knowledge Prize will hold an in-person meeting at the National Center "Russia," where government and public figures will listen to presentations from 77 nominees across 24 Russian regions and select the "Educators of the Year" in 19 categories. Later, the jury members will remotely evaluate video introductions from participants in the special category "Foreign Educator of the Year," which includes educators from Argentina, the USA, and Slovakia. In December, the traditional public online voting will take place..

The nationwide marathon in support of the development of the donor movement, #DavaiVstupai, has been included in the shortlist for the "Contribution to Education in the Field of 'Sports and Healthy Lifestyle'" category. The nationwide campaign was launched by the FMBA of Russia in September 2023. In just two months, more than 230,000 young people aged 18 to 25 from 72 cities across Russia took part.

The marathon was dedicated to the anniversary of the creation of the Federal Bone Marrow and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donor Registry, which is operated by the FMBA of Russia. Earlier this year, a new phase of the nationwide donor campaign #DavaiVstupai was launched at the XVI All-Russian Blood Service Forum. Over 16,000 applications from 89 regions of Russia and 56 foreign countries were submitted for the Knowledge Prize 2024.

On August 20, Head of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) Veronika Skvortsova and Chair of the Elbrus Russian Leaders Club Tatyana Dyakonova launched an educational expedition aimed at creating modern, effective approaches to encouraging blood and bone marrow donation among young people.
