“I am a donor of Republic of Tatarstan”, the first donor action in this year, took place at the Republican Blood Center

On January 13, the first donor action in 2016 called “I am a donor of RT” was held at the Republican Blood Center. The action was timed to celebrate so called the “Old New Year” and took place under the guide "Starting the new year with good deeds".

All participants of the action which are mostly the students plunged into the atmosphere of the New Year holiday with decorated Christmas tree, cheerful music and themed gifts. But the main purpose of the event for those who want to donate blood is a selfless desire to help people.

Traditionally, donors who gave blood for the first time had the opportunity to make their own personal donor-passport. The person who donates blood repeatedly increases his donor’s level.

This project is implemented jointly with National Blood Center of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Tatarstan and supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Academy of Creative Youth of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Regional Public Organization. The purpose of the project is to consolidate the existing asset of donor groups in high schools in one youth donor movement in order to ensure the systematic work with the correspondent institutions.

On this day, 100 people made donations thanks to which the blood bank received more than 44 liters of blood.
