The first results of the Volunteers school of Blood Service’ activities were summarized in Penza.

On March, 3, the award ceremony took place at the Penza regional blood transfusion station. Representatives of the Volunteers school of Blood Service who started their work in 2015 in the framework of ‘Will strengthen our help by good deeds’ project were handed in original certificates.

This project was initiated by Penza department of the Russian Union of volunteers in cooperation with the Penza regional blood transfusion station. The main goal of this project is to develop corporate donation of blood components at the government institution of Penza region.

Students of Penza State Agricultural Academy became the first participants of the lectures carried out by the Volunteers school, Afterwards these students will share their knowledge with the representatives of the public services.

“This is a long-term project which is not limited by any timeframes, and will be carried out until the blood donation problem won’t be solved. By involving youth in the project implementation we promote healthy lifestyle and active life position,” said Alina Mozhachkina-Gribanova, Head of the Penza department of the Russian Union of volunteers.

The new innovative approach to the donor recruitment is a complex program devoted to the preparation and organization of the Blood donor days. The key role in the blood donation promotion should be given not only to the head administrations, but also to the so called initiative groups,” believes Tatiana Krylova, the Head Doctor of Penza regional blood transfusion station.

It is planned to involve to the project implementation students from other Penzas universities.
