Residents of the South Urals donated almost 16 000 liters of blood since the beginning of 2016

Since the beginning of the year 20 322 people donated 15 772 liters of blood in the Chelyabinsk region. Total number of donations – 32 609.

To involve people of South Urals region in the donor movement Chelyabinsk regional blood transfusion station (CRBTS) and its branches organize its own promotional activities, but also participate in all-Russian donor campaigns and in the events conducted with the support of regional governments and ministries, administrations of cities and districts of the region.

For example, on the first Saturday of August 144 people have taken part in the 8th All-Russian «Saturday of the donors» event, which is held for those who can’t donate blood during the work week. More than 100 people donated 46 liters of blood, 15 people donated for the first time.

«We need to note that despite the anomalous heat in the region people still came to donate blood. We also want to mention that we have extended the contract with Chelyabinsk regional branch of «Russian Engineering Union», – says the chief transfusiologist of Ministry of Health of the Chelyabinsk region, the Chief Physician of the regional blood transfusion station, Galina Rudakova. – Staff members of the Chelyabinsk regional branch of the «Russian Engineering Union» donated approximately 60 liters of blood».

Charity Fund «Respond» and the «La caramel» restaurant, which prepared the sweets, organized «Saturday of donors» in the Magnitogorsk branch of the CRBTS. All participants received Blood Service souvenirs.

According to CRBTS, within seven months of 2016, medical teams of the station worked for 267 times in the municipalities of the region. In the near future staff members of JSC «Turbina» and JSC «Radio manufacturer Polet», as well as residents of the Chrysostom, Emanzhelinsk, Kopeysk, Kyshtym, Casley, Miass, Satka cities and Argayassky area will take part in the donor campaign.
