About 150 employees of MOSGAZ company, headed by CEO Mr. Gasan Gasangadgiev, took part in a traditional charitable blood donation event on December 7th. For the fifth year in a row the event was organized in collaboration with the Clinical Centre of the First State Moscow Medical University named after I. M. Sechenov and a charity foundation Give Life.
On that day Gasan Gasangadgiev, CEO of MOSGAZ, and top managers of the Company’s departments donated their blood with other employees.
There are honorary donors and first time donors among employees – a senior accountant Tatyana Nikolaevna donated blood not for the first time.
«People always need help, – said Gasan Gasangadgiev. – I donate blood annually since the school times. Each of us can end up in a situation when he will need a blood transfusion. That is why we have to help other people. If you have a good health, an opportunity and strength, you should definitely become a donor. In our company we will always be supporting this good tradition».
«I am a blood donor for many years already, because I want to help children, – said Valentina Shashkova, specialist of the Production Supplies Department. – Once I donated blood for wife of my colleague, who lost a lot of blood after childbirth. It was a direct blood transfusion. Since that moment I donate blood not only during Days of donor in company. I believe it’s a right thing, especially for a large company. We especially need to thank Gasan Gasangadgiev, CEO. He always participates in all Days of donor and sets a good example for the team. A donation is a good and noble deed, and it’s very comfortable to donate blood in the office».
Nikolay Tarankov, a gas-electric welder of the company, donated blood for the eighties time and has already become a honorary donor twice.
«I donate blood on the Day of donor in our company annually, – told Nikolay Tarankov. – I regularly donate blood for children treated in the Burns Center in Moscow. I donated blood for the first time when I was in the army. Everyone has to donate blood, because none of us has an immune to accident or serious illness. I remember how my blood saved the life of soldier, who was seriously wounded. Since then I believe that donation is a good and right deed. It’s amazing, that our company organizes such events».
Medics were happy to see so active employees.
«Great and responsive people work here, – said Tatyana Bugakova, doctor of the Clinical Centre of the First State Moscow Medical University named after I. M. Sechenov. – It is a pleasure that people participate in such important campaigns. Every attendee go through free and thorough medical examination. MOSGAZ company organized the Day of donor very accurately. We are constantly being asked why people donate blood. We answer that it’s a heroic act to donate a part of you. It improves self-esteem of a person. Of course, donor blood will save someone’s life. A demand for blood exists and always will. The donor blood is irreplaceable».
According to Tatyana Bugakova such events on the one hand give an opportunity to prepare a certain amount of blood and its components for patients treated in different clinics. On the other hand, we together with the charity foundation Give Life can collect donations that will be transferred for a treatment of children with oncological disease.
Unfortunately, not every person could donate a blood on the Day of donor. People, who couldn’t become a donor for different reasons, were sincerely upset. Some of the employees had an unstable blood pressure or a low hemoglobin level.
«We are grateful to everyone who donated blood, – said Tatyana Bugakova. – The employees of MOSGAZ were very well prepared for this event. Those, who couldn’t donate blood today, please do not worry, it’s not the last Day of donor».
