Donor drive was held at Tula blood transfusion station

19.01.17

Activists of the regional All-Russian National Front in collaboration with members of "Volunteers – medics" donor movement organized a blood drive. Dozens of young people donated blood at the regional blood transfusion station.

Nika Sergeeva, a member of The All-Russian National Front in Tula, was responsible for the event. She noticed that during holidays there is a lack of donor blood.

«As we all know, there is a serious lack of donor blood. That’s why blood drives like this should be held as often as possible and have to be widely covered by media, – said Nika Sergeeva. – People perceived the initiative positively and supported it. There were people who had already donated blood and first-time donors as well. It has to be noted that people understand the importance of blood donations and they are ready to participate in donor drives again».

There were not only members of the National Front among the participants, but students and concerned citizens.

«I donated blood for the first time. Honestly, it was very exciting, turned out that there is nothing scary. I’ll definitely come again» – said Tatiana Topal, a student.

Members of the National Front hope that events like this will become regular and will be held twice a year.
