Results of the National donor campaign "Auto-moto donor" was summed up in Omsk

"Auto-moto donor" promotion action was conducted in Omsk from 24 to 27 of April as a part of the Program for the development of mass voluntary donation of blood and its components.

The annual "Auto-moto donor" campaign unites under the flags of Blood Service all road users from truck drivers to ordinary pedestrians, as each of them can save patients who need donor blood.

"Auto-moto donor" is being held annually in Omsk not by accident. Road accidents happen daily and there are many patients who recover fast because they got blood components on time.

During donor campaign 178 road users donated blood, incl. 36 employees of traffic police. 80.1 liters of donor blood were collected.

It is important for the Blood Service that donors will come again in 6 months to donate blood or to do medical tests. It is necessary to confirm the safety of previously collected blood components in order to provide it to medical institutions.
