"Patriots of Russia" donated blood in Shchukino area

04.08.17

Girls from the patriotic public organization held a donor drive in the hospital №. 52.

Public organization "Patriots of Russia" held scale donor drive in the City Clinical Hospital No.52 in the Shchukino area "Share the blood. Everyone can do this!"

Twenty girls aged 19 to 32 came to the hospital to become blood donors. Galina Rzhaksenskaya, their leader, Instagram star and finalist of the TV show "Bachelor" came with them.

"I myself cannot give blood, as I am six months pregnant," the girl shared with "SZ", "but after giving birth, my husband and I will definitely become donors. We will come to this hospital, as we live not far away – at the Marshal Zhukov Avenue."

Galina noted that the reaction of society to this event surprised her enormously.

"It turned out that many are afraid of donations and believe that this is dangerous for health. In fact, in hospitals everything is sterile, and the procedure itself is quick and painless," she said. According to her, permanent donors are easier to tolerate blood loss after injuries or surgeries, they have a healthy cardiovascular system.

"Patriot" Vera Weiss donated blood for the first time. She is a fashion model and captain of the women's football team, she is also engaged in charity.

"I brought girls from my team – some of them already donated blood, and someone came for the first time. I will be happy if our blood will save someone's life!"

The head of the blood transfusion department Oksana Karpova said that now the amount of blood donors in the hospital is uneven.

"We would like the donors to come to us constantly, regardless of the time of the year and the drives," she said, "the hospital promotes gratuitous donorship: as practice shows, the more donors, the purer the blood. The fact is that people go to the procedure not to earn money, but to actually help the sick people. As a rule, they adhere to all recommendations when preparing for donation and become permanent donors."

Gratuitous donors after blood donation receive 850 rubles and two days of rest. Donors, who donated blood and its components for 20 times, become honorary donors of Moscow. They are provided with benefits, including free travel on public transport.
