Volunteers of donor movement «Ya-Donor» participate in various types of social activity

About 50% of the future participants of the IV Forum of the organizers of the donor movement «Movement of Life» are engaged in more than one type of social volunteering: such results were given by a blitz poll in the registration form.

Activists of the development of blood donation and its components are also involved in social actions aimed at the development of bone marrow donation, the prevention of socially dangerous diseases, including the spread of HIV; work as volunteers in adults and children's hospices, visit patients in children's and adult hospitals, provide assistance in nursing homes, animal shelters. «Donor» volunteers also organize sports events, holidays, environmental and other public events, including «Immortal Regiment», «Day of National Unity», «Total dictation».

To select additional types of social activities, Moscow volunteers can use the interactive «Help is always necessary» card developed by the Moscow Resource Center for Blood Donor and the National Health Development Fund. Information on non-profit organizations of different directions, in which volunteers are waiting, is placed with reference to metro stations and MCC, which allows volunteers to choose an organization within walking distance from their place of residence, work or study.

Types of volunteering in medicine occupy a significant part among additional types of social volunteering «Movement of Life».

Registration for the IV forum of the organizers of the donor movement «Movement of Life» will last until November 13, 2017. It is planned that at least 120 people will take part in its work.

The event is held within the framework of the program «Development of a regular responsible blood donation and its components as an element of voluntary activity of Moscow residents» implemented by the National Fund for Health Development based on the results of the public relations competition for socially-oriented non-profit organizations.
