It is a slogan used for a new joint project of National fund for Health Development and Moscow Blood Donation Resource Center.

The project is dedicated to blood donation development and skill improvement for volunteers. It will be held in 2018-2019 with the help Moscow State Public Relations Committee.

Within the project “Donation in Moscow: “Donate blood regularly. Help to make it properly” in January 2019, the marathon of donor practices “Knock to Hearts” starts. Marathon participants - organizations and initiative groups - will be provided with all necessary support, roll-ups from the exhibition “Blood Donation and Volunteering in Moscow: co-operation”, gift sets for organizers and donors.

The project will collect, analyze and summarize the best practices of donation development in Moscow, create new information and methodological resources for the organizers of the donor program, including the game format - the Moscow Donor board game. The final project event will be a communication and educational workshop for volunteers of donor program in Moscow.

“Volunteers are helping the blood service in solving the large-scale task of providing health care in the capital with donor blood. Their participation in the organization and development of the donor program is a world recognized practice, an important condition for the effective functioning of the blood donation system. One of the aims of our new project is to collect and summarize the best practices in the development of free donation of blood and its components in the capital region. Analysis of these data will result in an electronic multimedia digest. Also, successful practices will be presented at the final event of the project in June 2019” says Elena Stefanyuk, director of the National Fund for Health Development, deputy head of the Coordination Center for Blood Donation at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

Until December 21, 2018, the National Fund for Health Development accepts proposals from the donor program managers on the format of collecting best practices in the field of donation and recommendations in the statutes for the marathon "Knocking on Hearts". The new project of the Moscow Blood Donation Resource Center and the National Fund for Health Development has become one of the winners in the nomination "Development of Volunteering and Charity" of the Moscow Mayor's Grants Competition 2018. The project is granted from the Moscow State budget for the competition, conducted by the Public Relations Committee for socially-oriented non-profit organizations.

On August 20, Head of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) Veronika Skvortsova and Chair of the Elbrus Russian Leaders Club Tatyana Dyakonova launched an educational expedition aimed at creating modern, effective approaches to encouraging blood and bone marrow donation among young people. The two leaders wished the teams success in shaping youth-centered strategies for building a strong donor culture.

The Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) organized a series of initiatives to promote blood and bone marrow donation among young people during the 11th All-Russian Youth Educational Forum Territory of Meanings. The program featured lectures, open discussions, and donation drives that received strong positive feedback from participants.
