Staying indifferent is inhuman!
What happens when art unites with donorship.
Yulia Savicheva was born on 14 February 1987 in the family of musicians. She first performed when she was 4 when she entered the stage in Kurgan with the rock-band “Konvoy” where her father Stanislav Savichev was a drummer. In 2003, her artistic life took a new turn, Yulia became a participant of a TV project “Star Factory 2” headed by Maxim Fadeyev. She went through all stages of the show and got into top 5. Yulia has long ago won the audience’s hearts by singing a moving and romantic ballad “Высоко” (High up). 2004 became for Yulia an international start – first she participated in the contest World Best representing Russia and taking 8th place, and in May of the same year she sang “Believe me” for Russia at Eurovision in Turkey. In 2006, Yulia was awarded as the “Best performer” at the MTV RMA ceremony. Her songs are regularly on the top of musical charts: “Скажи мне, что такое любовь” (Tell me, what love is), “Москва-Владивосток” (Moscow-Vladivostok), “Прости за любовь” (Sorry for loving you), and of course last summer hit “Отпусти” (Let me go) featuring hip-hop singer Gigan. In 2011, Yulia Savicheva participates in All-Russian contest “MUZARTERIA” held in support of donor movement. She shares her impression of participating in “MUZARTERIA”: “As far as I know, at present there is a difficult situation with donorship in Russia. Many people don’t even give this problem a thought, that’s why it’s so important to attract their attention to it. You know, as A.P. Chekhov said, “The happy man only feels at ease because the unhappy bear their burden in silence”. But it doesn’t mean that they are not there. If we feel fine, we shouldn’t stay idle, we should help those who are in trouble. I believe that staying indifferent is simply inhuman”. Yulia also notes that thanks to “MUZARTERIA” the call for help can now be heard in songs: “Art has already something positive in it, and when it is combined with such an important thing as donorship, it becomes full of meaning and kindness. I think there should more such campaigns as helping others we live a fuller life”. Video interview of Yulia Savicheva.
